Why more apartments?The Newlands development will provide high quality apartments and townhouses to help accommodate the strong demand for housing close to public transport.

Will there be overshadowing on neighbouring properties?The Newlands has been designed to minimise overshadowing on its neighbours. Regulation of building heights and setbacks causing any overshadowing were considered in Lane Cove Council’s development approval process.

Will there be any road closures?You will be notified by our contractor if and when any temporary road closures are needed.

When will construction start?Construction of Stage 1 is scheduled for commencement in September 2023.

What are the hours of work?Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:30pm Saturday: 8am – 12pm

How will noise and dust be managed?In line with our Development Consent and Construction Management Plan, Top Spring Australia will continuously monitor noise and dust levels and only conduct high noise generating work on Monday to Friday between 8am – 5pm.

How can I contact the site manager?The site manager’s details will be displayed at the entry point of our site on Canberra Avenue.

What will be the impact on local streets?The site has been carefully designed to ensure The Newlands’ residents can easily access existing and future public transport and surrounding amenities. The development also includes 120 bicycle parking spaces, 10 communal electric bikes and a 6-metre wide public through-link to encourage the use of more active transport and to minimise traffic on local streets. The development also includes underground car spaces, easy access visitor parking spaces, motorcycle and car share spaces to minimise impact on local streets. Modelling indicates that the impact on local traffic will also be minimal with a net increase of around 30 vehicles during morning peak and around 10 vehicles in the evening peak.
